William H. Storrs diary, 1862 Jan. 21-1864 Sept. 27.

Diary recording Storrs's experiences as a soldier serving with the 77th Ohio Infantry Regiment in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Many entries appear to have been written in retrospect and there are two lengthy gaps (1862 Aug. 21-1863 Jul. 31 and 1863 Dec. 18 to 1864 Sept. 19). Topics include the Battle of Shiloh, the battle of Corinth, Miss., the occupation of Little Rock, Ark., camp life, weather, and fellow soldiers.
